AWS — Space Escape

Amazon Web Services (AWS) wanted to maintain a strong team culture in the early phase of pandemic-related remote work.

Space Escape is a time-based, team-based online escape room that is designed to be played as a virtual team meeting, using standard webinar platforms. It can be played together as a group during the call or with other team members playing elsewhere.

Learners have 60 minutes to complete nine, themed “pods” and there is a unique puzzle or problem to solve in each pod in order to escape the space station. Team members can play through the pods together or divide and conquer. During the game, specific tasks and challenges support Amazon’s Leadership Principles.
